Our Physical Location at House of Prayer Lutheran Church

Each Shabbat, we offer multi-access services. We are proud of our partnership with House of Prayer Lutheran Church at the convenient location of Wurzbach and Ironside Drive. The Fellowship Hall gives us a flexible space to spread out as necessary and seat our congregation and guests for all services.
  • Kesher Classroom

    Kesher Classroom

The large classroom space at House of Prayer Lutheran Church allows us to have multiple small groups meeting for Hebrew instruction, and then gives us flexibility to set up several different whole-group activities for KESHER SHALOM, our innovative and highly interactive youth education program.
  • Holiday Services

    Holiday Services

Our joyful, creative holiday celebrations are appropriate for all ages. Young or old; single or family; Jewish, Interfaith, or exploring Judaism for the first time; whatever your story is, our congregation is inclusive in every possible way and you are always welcome.
  • Shabbat Worship

    Shabbat Worship

Using our Reform Movement’s newest prayerbook, Mishkan T’filah, our Shabbat service is different every week. Balancing Hebrew and English readings; ‘traditional,’ Classical Reform, and contemporary melodies; sermons, divrei Torah, discussions, and Torah study; Rabbi Lisa Goldstein strives to keep our Shabbat worship engaging, accessible, and meaningful for the range of ages and interests of our attendees.

Welcome to Congregation Shalom!

We are a Reform Jewish community that inspires dynamic engagement in Jewish worship, values, texts, culture, and social action. We encourage participation by all who seek connection to Jewish life.

We support our community through the joys and sorrows of life. We embrace worship and education that is accessible to all through exploring new ideas and practices in all aspects of congregational life. We value our connections with one another, our extended community, and the spirit, land, and people of Israel.

All Are Welcome

Everyone is welcome to attend our synagogue services, whether they are a member of our congregation or a visitor. If attending in person, we ask that visitors be prepared to show ID and vaccination card.

No Barriers to Entry

Anyone interested in Judaism or in belonging to the congregation will find a home here, regardless of their religious background. We welcome all who wish to align themselves with our community.

Inclusive and Embracing

Congregation Shalom is a welcoming, supportive, diverse space where everyone is safe to be themselves.
