Marriage

What joy to have found the person with whom you will share your life! Standing under the chuppah (wedding canopy) and breaking the glass; from choosing your ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) to deciding what parts of our Jewish wedding ritual are the most significant to you, our Rabbi is on hand to guide you and celebrate this very special ceremony with you.

At Congregation Shalom, we want to make your wedding the once-in-a-lifetime simcha (joyous celebration) it should be. Rabbi Goldstein will meet with the bride and groom for pre-marriage counseling and to help ensure the ceremony is personal and meaningful, incorporating those rituals that will make the experience memorable for the couple and their loved ones.

Rabbi Goldstein will officiate at your interfaith wedding under most circumstances. She will also officiate at your same sex wedding. Whenever there is an opportunity to join two loving partners in holy partnership, Rabbi Goldstein feels honored to be part of the experience.

If you are in need of assistance with a wedding, you may contact Rabbi Lisa Goldstein directly at lisa@shalomsa.org or (210) 474-6082.

This is a benefit of membership with Congregation Shalom, but is also available to non-members in certain circumstances.
