Hadassah 2025 Installation to Feature Discussion on Human Trafficking
The San Antonio Chapter of Hadassah will be installing new officers for 2025 at its luncheon meeting on Sunday, January 26th, at 11:30, at Milano’s Restaurant.
As January is the month designated for awareness of Human Trafficking, chapter president Marion Bernstein will lead a discussion on this topic. As an international problem, trafficking in people is the third most common form of criminal trade, ranking just behind drugs and weapons. Despite the grim statistics, there are local groups that are working on prevention as well as helping those who have survived being trafficked. Hadassah has taken a strong position, advocating nationally against this crime.
Officers to be installed at the meeting are: Marion Bernstein, President; Roberta Abelman, Treasurer; Cheryl Levinson, Corresponding Secretary; Kathy O’Neill, Recording Secretary; Debbie Linck, Programming VP; Dawn Gonzales, Membership; Joan Westgor, Social Media; and Sharon Gewertz, Records Administration.
The meeting is open to all members of the Jewish community, but seating’s very limited. Those who would like to attend should RSVP by 1/23 to Debbie Linck at
